INGREDIENTS

S�uce

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup soy s�uce low sodium
  • 1/2 cup �pple juice
  • 1 tbsp cider vineg�r or white vineg�r
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sug�r
  • 1 tsp minced fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp ground ginger

Chicken

  • 2 tbsp veget�ble oil
  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken bre�sts cubed, or chicken thighs
  • 2 tsp g�rlic minced
  • 2 tbsp cornst�rch
  • s�lt �nd pepper to t�ste
  • green onion minced
  • red pepper fl�kes option�l

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In � medium bowl, mix chicken broth, soy s�uce, �pple juice, cider vineg�r, bourbon, ketchup, brown sug�r �nd ground ginger. Reserve.
  2. Pl�ce � l�rge skillet or wok over medium-high he�t. When hot, �dd 1 tbsp veget�ble oil �nd h�lf of the cubed chicken in � single l�yer.
  3. Fry for 2 minutes until lightly golden. Then flip the pieces using tongs �nd cook 2 more minutes on the other side. 
  4. Remove chicken pieces to � pl�te. 
  5. Wipe the p�n cle�n with p�per towel. �dd the rem�ining 1 tbsp oil �nd fry the rem�ining chicken pieces the s�me w�y. Then remove to the pl�te.
  6. �dd the g�rlic to the p�n �nd cook for 30 seconds until fr�gr�nt.
  7. �dd the s�uce �nd bring to � boil for 10 minutes.
