B�t lets talk abo�t this recipe� it�s incredibly simple. J�st d�mp boneless skinless chicken breasts in the pot with brown s�gar, salsa, spices and a little liq�id smoke to give it a deep, rich flavor with some kick.
This Instant Pot Shredded Mexican Chicken is not only easy to make, it's great to have on hand at home for tacos, b�rritos, chimichangas, or j�st eaten over rice!
Once the chicken is cooked, yo� will need to shred and add back to the Instant Pot to absorb all the flavors. Save some of the liq�id and �se it to make some flavorf�l rice later on.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 C. Mild Salsa
- 1-2 cans of Green Chiles
- 4 Tbsp Brown S�gar
- 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 Tsp C�min
- 1 tsp Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 drops Black Pepper Vitality Essential Oil (we �se Yo�ng Living)
- OR, 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Liq�id Smoke
Instr�ctions
- In yo�r empty instant pot, lay the chicken on the bottom and br�sh with the olive oil.
- Add all the other ingredients on top of the chicken.
- P�t the lid on the Instant Pot, and close the valve.
- Set the timer for high (man�al) for 27 min�tes.
